- Safety checks related to oxygen equipment, including identifying potential trip hazards caused by oxygen tubing
- Prompt reporting of observed changes in breathing, respiratory status, or oxygen equipment concerns to the appropriate supervisor, designated family member, or healthcare provider in accordance with the client's care plan
- Encouragement of breathing exercises, pulmonary rehabilitation routines, or respiratory wellness activities prescribed or recommended by the client's healthcare provider
- Medication reminders
- Encouragement to follow prescribed oxygen therapy
